На родине против него возбуждено уголовное дело по обвинению в расстреле людей и направлен запрос в Минск на его экстрадицию.
Курманбек Бакиев в беседе с корр. “Азаттык” не скрывал своего разочарования последними событиями в Джалал-Абадской области (юг Кыргызстана). Особенно задел его заживое поджег домов в с.Теит Сузакского района 14 мая вечером. Здесь находится его родовое поместье. “В чем была вина Жусупа Салиевича (второй из шести его братьев, ред), который скончался еще в 2006- м году, в чем была вина 90 старика, фронтовика, дом которого также дотла сгорел, или Каныбек Салиевич (младший брат экс-президента, ред), который строил свой дом в течение 10 лет, и мы все ему помогали?”, задался вопросом экс-президент.
На вопрос о том, где находятся его дети, есть у него с ними связь, экс-президент немного нервно обронил: давайте оставим в покое моих сыновей, им и так сейчас трудно. Потом добавил: все родственники сейчас находятся в бегах. “Я ни с кем из них не связывался, потому что, знаю, в таком случае, все списали бы на меня, о чем бы с ними ни говорил”, полагает он.
Он уверен, что люди выходят на митинги не для того, чтобы защитить его, а “чтобы выразить свое недовольство работой временного правительства”. Для возвращение в Кыргызстант сегодня нет условий, понимает К.Бакиев, “я об этом даже не думаю”, признается.
Экс-президент достаточно информирован о происходящем в Кыргызстане. “Я думаю, что переход к парламентской форме правления в Кыргызстане не создаст условия для развития экономики, потому что партии, каждая как может, начнет лоббировать свои интересы”, в таком случае о демократии придется забыть, говорить он.
